I'd wait until you know what you want for a good year/six months first... make sure it's meaningful to you or you might wind up resenting it later on in life - tattoos are forever.

Yeah. Well, it's going to be a memorial tattoo for my ex who committed suicide after he and I were together for 3 and a half years. I just don't know what picture I want with his dates and name.

wow, thats definitly powerful... I guess I'd suggest a symbol that was important to him, or to you both - I hope it turns our beautifully for you, and I'm sorry for your loss.
